The photo collection is divided into a number of "trails". Each trail is devoted to a particular topic, such as a particular vacation or a particular geographical area. Note that some photos may appear in multiple trails. Finally, there is an all-encompassing trail, at the end of the list below, that includes all photos in roughly chronological order.

The earlier photos on this site were taken with an extremely basic fixed focus, fixed aperture (and who knows, probably even fixed shutter speed!) 110 camera. Since Christmas 1998, I've owned a Canon EOS 5000, a fairly basic, but quite capable 35mm SLR camera. The kit I purchased came with 38-78mm and 80-200mm zoom lenses. I recently (Jan 2002) added a 22-55mm zoom lense to the mix. A few pictures were taken using a Canon Rebel G, and a few more with a digital camera belonging to my room-mate, Piers. As of approximately October 2002, I now own the Rebel G too. Tina received a Canon A70 as a birthday present, and some of the latter photos were taken with that.
